LAPP KNX Cable for Building Automation & Communications
KNX is an abbreviation of Konnex and is an international building control standard that enables the integration and programming of a range of products using a single software tool. This technology was formed from the merging of three established European bus standards: EIP, EHS (household appliances and consumer electronics) and Batibus (heating/ventilation/air conditioning)
Since KNX covers such a diversity of applications using one standard, it means that cabling networks can be much simpler. KNX controlled devices are generally based around the standard green KNX/EIB bus cable (i.e. twisted pair) but can be run across Radio Bus (wireless), Ethernet (structured cabling), Fibre Optics and occasionally Power Line.
At ECS we stock LAPP KNX Cable in our Hamilton based distribution centre available online freight-free* at very competitive pricing.
