Better than the standard – that is true of the conductor retention force of the compact WAGO 221 Series Splicing Connector.
The video shows the conductor pull-out test in fast motion. This is a standardized test used to check the conductor retention force of splicing connectors. The 221 Splicing Connector withstands at least twice the tension required by the standard.
Cable tension may arise when wiring the distribution box, for example, when the short, narrow cables are pressed into the box. However, with the 221 Splicing Connector with lever, secure contact between the conductor and the connection point is ensured even with high tension. Thus it not only meets the DIN EN 60998 product norm – it actually exceeds it.
