Cables that are permanently installed in structures fall under the European CPR. They are classified into uniform fire classes according to their reaction to fire. The requirements are described in the harmonized standard hEN 50575:2014. Device connection cables that are directly connected to a load are an exception. All other cables must bear a CE conformance mark according to the CPR and a declaration of performance.
