If one cable in a PV system becomes fragile or fails, this affects all other cables of the same reel. Re-installation and removal can be very expensive. In the long term, therefore, it pays off to invest in durable and high-quality material.
LAPP are constantly developing their products and solutions further: the longest possible durability, robustness or extreme flexibility are a matter of course. Thanks to special sheathing materials, LAPP solar cables are not only flame-retardant and halogen-free, but also resistant to ozone and UV.
LAPP solar cables withstand even extreme weather conditions such as heat, wind and frost and are therefore perfectly suited for use in your outdoor installations.
In close cooperation with users, the German TÜV and the North American UL Approval Institute, many performance tests have been carried out with ÖLFLEX® Solar Cables, and SKINTOP® cable glands.
In this way, LAPP can guarantee their quality standard and as an installer you can rest assured after choosing to connect your PV system with LAPP ÖLFLEX® range of Solar Cables.

AS/NZS Standard | ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLR-E T | EN-50618
ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLR-R Solar Cables are weather, abrasion and UV-resistant, with a reduced outer diameter for weight and space saving installations. These halogen-free, double insulated, cross-linked solar cables are suitable for permanent outdoor use on photovoltaic systems both for cabling of solar modules among themselves and as connection to the DC / AC inverter. They are also independently certified by TUV to EN 50618 and the design conforms to the new IEC 62930 standard.
Water Submersible | ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLWP | EN-50618
ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLWP, electron beam cross-linked solar cable with optimised performance for applications where there is a high chance of long-term water submersion. For example: in applications where cables are buried with conduits which might fill with water or for a floating PV installation.
European Standard | ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLS-R | H1Z2Z2-K
The EN 50618 series meets the latest worldwide standards for solar cables. These are also suitable for installations in Australia and New Zealand. The XLS-R series is suitable only for commercial installations in Australia and New Zealand. For any residential installations it is recommended to use the XLR-E range.
